For years, my job was designing systems to move millions of pieces of freight. I was often reminded, jokingly but truthfully that I never moved a single box myself. And they were right.

But what I did do was help people track what they were moving, streamline their operations, and keep everyone informed from receipt to delivery.

I wasn’t the expert on what was in the container. I didn’t need to be. I just built the systems that made it easier for the people who were the experts to do their jobs and stay connected.

And that’s exactly what I’m trying to do now with the Virginia Pages Network.

I don’t know everything that’s happening in our town. I can’t possibly. But I know how to build systems simple, consistent spaces where you can share what you know, find what you need, and stay informed without having to dig through clutter or chase information across five different platforms.

The Virginia Pages isn’t a broadcast. It’s a framework. It’s a local information and conversation hub designed for people who want to speak up, stay in the know, and contribute in their own way.

This is not my network it’s ours. I just built the system.
